Department of Design and Construction
США
Добавлен 19 апр 2013
As the City's primary capital construction project manager, we build many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day. We provide communities with new or renovated structures such as firehouses, libraries, police precincts, courthouses, senior centers and more. To successfully manage our portfolio, we collaborate with other City agencies, as well as with emerging and world-renowned architects and consultants.
Our work doesn’t stop at buildings-we also design and improve vital infrastructure. Our staff delivers roadway, sewer and water main construction projects in all five boroughs. We provide sidewalks, street reconstruction, water mains, sewers, and pedestrian ramps-quality infrastructure that is essential to New York City.

Delancey Street Pedestrian Bridge Installation
What an incredible achievement and another milestone for the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project! Using the Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) method, crews successfully installed the Delancey Street Pedestrian Bridge in a single night with minimal traffic disruption. (On installation night, the 215-foot long, 125-ton bridge was rolled along the FDR Drive using self-propelled modular transporters. No easy feat!) We once again thank all our partners for their hard work.
The bridge connects the Lower East Side to East River Park. It is set to open to the public in September 2024.

I was a Sergeant there from 1987-1989. I left and was assigned to the MNTF where I retired from in March 1991. I loved the Central Park Precinct.
The music ruins a wonder vid.
ruclips.net/video/Eiokbzy1vEY/видео.html Law Enforcement needs to be educated on the constitution of the United States and the law. Tyrant officer in blue on video is a danger to the public.
Really awesome
I was locked up there 99
So when the invaders showed up at Ellis island, the black folk had already built the place
is that satire? "black folk" didnt build anything. they have no concept or understanding of engineering or planning
shut up!
I hate dat fucking place I swear to God
What about everyone else on the island that are forced to flood their yards
I love this precinct. It has such a retro look. Beautiful.
lmao this is where I got tooken to before I got booked cause of a police chase I did
I remember this place when I was an little girl it’s not a good memory. The old building which was called The Eau Emergency Assistance Unit, only a two story building it was so horrible and inhumane also disgusting I’m happy that they stepped it up a whole notch. The building looks really beautiful I hope the employees are doing their job though. Just saying.
I miss my school Soo much, I graduated this year from 8th grade, love you ms.mejia
:<
😯 I LOVE THIS SCHOOL 🥺❤️
Time Square: Puerta del Sol Edition.
How many cops y'all got since I moved. Go ask the borough presidents office
Loud xylophone stock music makes this unlistenable
thanks for this, it's great to have an overview of the project. I'd much rather have it done before a water main break floods the neighborhood. NYC is an old city, nothing lasts forever. Keep up the good work!
Si voy de Puerto Rico allá a solicitar albergue debido a gue por acá las escuelas publicas tienen columnas cortas y si tiembla bien fuerte puede colapsar la escuela para mi hija de 10 años me alludarian a conseguir albergue?
interesting and very inspiring,,, but I would like to know what is happening on the ground floor to understand how is the center accessed from outside.
"The audience in this building will always have children; they may be anxious and distressed, and they may be here for a long time."

nyc is out of control... flood the country with immigrants and then harrass the actual tax payers till they want to move out... why is NY DDC REMOVING MY NEW SIDEWALK WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME?
So full of shit omg that plane is dirty cold and small AF 🤦♀️🤦♀️ workers treat everybody like shit there's no heat the water is dirty nasty🖕🖕🖕 someone needs to help the homeless
Brilliant, they can do all this shit but can't actually house people
This is just INCREDIBLE.

I remember this place. We were here for a long time.

When new york city going to repave the streets? After something happens
If I were to go there and get mistreated and record how they treat me, who could I send the video to?
I was at that place before with my mom in 2011. We was there for a long ass time.
workers just verbally bash you and tell you no they arent out to help you they get kicks out if putting peoplr down worst then they are
they will tell you no if you aint white
These architects did not know what they were doing...i worked at PATH and i can say there is no space for the workers or the clients..
Thank god i moved upstate
Me too been here 11years
I wonder what water from white pine pipes would have tasted like. I'm a brewer and would love to explore this idea with a beer recipe.
I'll bet it would taste good. You might be on to something.
i eas there my son and I back in 2012 . ther staff was alriggt but they took all day .
My first I went there was back in the bloomberg administration in 2012 and it was a process as usual. My wife just had my 2 week old son and my first born was 3 1/2. We went inside at 8am and left almost at 11pm because of the transportation.. At the time I had a job and my wife didn't so they spoke with us and gave us a room in brooklyn with our own stove and bathroom and i was 10 minutes away from my job. My wife cried cause we had never experienced this before and being that we have faith in Christ Jesus and try to walk the narrow i was hoping the situation wouldn't deter her from keeping the faith in Christ Jesus but we concentrate in Romans 8 We had our common roaches but it manageable and this ugly soggy sofa we just wrapped a sheet over lol whatever but nothing too crazy like how i see it on the news or websites. Most likely We may have to return there because our lease is up and they aren't renewing due to the building being sold and they are renovating causing the place to be un inhabitable .. We tried to find an apartment but the credit score are to low although we have the income so we have no other place at the time... I hope the next experience will not be crucial either stable or better I pray.
WecanWinJesse did u have to bring your family over there? Or can u go without the family?
Me my mom and my 3 year old brother never been homeless until we moved to New York it wasn't fun my mom cried a few times because she kept getting ineligible over and over again and we didnt have anywhere to go :( my mom's friend saundra had kicked us out because of a argument and where she stayed was across from my school so it wasn't a far walk and we had 2 heavy luggage to drag and one less heavy luggage we were put into a really nice facility with two nice beds and a TV and a nice bathroom I had a bed to myself and my mom and brother shared the other one soon we got kicked out due to my mom being ineligible soon we went to New Jersey where our cousins lived and we stayed there thinking we would just live there until it didnt work out so we just took the greyhound back to our hometown it's been 9 months since we left and we are deciding to probably go back

Hello! What is the way to start working with the NYC DDC as a sub-contractor?
Thank you very much for the information!
Go to inplix page if you want to learn how to build it yourself
I went there pregnant and with my son who have heart problems and a daughter who autistic and when they send me downstairs the lady treated me like shit and told me why I got pregnant in the first place when nobody wants me. First of my problume was not that I got kick out it was over crowded and everywhere I go people told me she was not even suppose to say that, and that path have to except familys. If I was to know now that she was suppose to except me I would of Broke her fucking face!! I hate path DONT GO THERE!!!!
sorry that happened to u. u r loved and we will all get through it together.
It is a process it is a lonnng wait but at the end of the tunnel there is a rainbow god says patience and if you really need to help and you're homeless you don't have a choice but to trust God and wait it out and do your part and work on never being homeless again good luck to all .
+Susan Lopatin Amen hopefully when my son finish school we can leave the city!
Sound like you work there??? You say that as if we aren't shamed and humiliated before .... And you stress lonnn GGG...... But not about 24/40 hour's you can be waiting. To enter a hell hole of a place. Alone, without food and water, served a bag I wouldn't give to my dog. With a 4 weeks old it's no 🌈 at the end. Just a hell hole to rest in, praying the mice and roaches don't attack your child. So you don't really sleep a wink. What are you talking about????
I went to path they do help u. But people have to help them self as well they help as much as they can. U should thank god ur not sleeping in a train station. Thank god for shelters. Amen
SUSAN LOPATIN: SUSAN EVERYONE IS RECOUNTING THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH PATH.
That's true however they shouldn't be treating ppl shit and talked down to u like garbage
Total failure of public space. No one is even there!
path treats the people who need help like trash the only people they will help without fail are those who are drugged up and ghetto if your educated and just had really hard times fall upon you they will make your life a living hell nd try to shame you or send you out of state to be some one else's problem.
Did you ever receive any help from path? Did you have a family when you tried to apply?
Your right!!!!
Cece diop we wentmy wife and I with our two kids when she was pregnant they denied us many different times. They treat you like crap for needing help
